Brett has been a gun enthusiast since his dad introduced him to target shooting when he was 8 years old. While serving as a Marine at HMX-1, the Presidential Helicopter Squadron, at Quantico, VA, he qualified Expert with rifle and pistol. Since leaving the Marine Corps, Brett has been engaged in social justice issues, and he sees his current work in accessible firearms training to be an extension of that work. His focus is on teaching firearms safety in an inclusive, welcoming, non-judgmental environment, especially for the Queer, BIPoC, and disabled communities. Brett teaches out of Bloomington, Indiana. Brett is a Certified Firearms Instructor through the USCCA.
Brett is also the only certified instructor in Indiana for The Liberal Gun Club and is in the process of starting Indiana’s LGC Chapter.
